  well it's about time to get the old king of the north out of moth balls. it used to be germany, then the u.s.s.r. , i think they already hinted it to be the muslims. after 9/11 , nows here's a group the wt better be careful pissing off. all the wt need to print is that they are the anti-christ or something similiar. and if thesde wt books fall into the hands of some crazy muslim group. i'll just sit back and watch the fireworks. john

  i have no 'safe' way of reading a physical copy of this book really.

  but after flipping through a copy at the university library here i finally want to examine it.

  is there a copy online anywhere, or someway that i can view it on my computer?

  the best thing about coc is once you start reading it you can't put it down. Since ray wrote many wt books in the 60-70's . a jw can read it with ease. good luck to you and welcome.. john

  in another post someone mentioned americans loving micro beers - and i thought about beers i drink and why.

  i drink budweiser on occasion because they sponsor events i like.

  i drink miller high life on occation just because of the great 'lone man talking' commercials.

  things I do not like about xmas

  aside from the reasons jws give as it being a pagan holiday renamed..... i do not like the fact that parents think nothing of lying to their children about this mythical santa claus.

  and the constant hollywood movies making anyone who exposes the gag as an evil monster...while giving children reasons to believe that santa claus really does exist after all...ignore your older friends who have been poisoned by the secular world.. i find it appalling to ever teach a child to simply expect people to give them things just because the calendar says a certain day.. i find the mindless devoution to christmas to be just as appalling as the brainwashing jws do against it... i see people in my office acting like german clocks... the clock strikes easter and the decorate the office, strikes holloween and they decorate again...strikes christmas and more decorations..... then the frets and worries over what to get who and how much to go into debt over it.. i knew one lady who spent over $300 on a child less than two and was very depressed about two weeks later when the novelty wore off and only very inexpensive things returned as the main attraction.

  what i really hate about xmas is jw's knocking on doors that day trying to upset a nice family holiday pushing junk comics. and also in the lead up to xmas the jw's will do anything to tell you jehoover hates xmas. in plain english everything about the wt sucks..john

  587 BC for Total Dunderheads

  if you're a dunderhead on neo-babylonian history (like me) you've probably remained totally clueless whenever the subject of the chronology leading to back 607 b.c.

  since i had nothing better to do today, i decided to finally take the time it takes to understand why dub chronology on that date is wrong.

  this piece of information alone should give you a clue about how bored i am!.

  i spent months on this 607 junk some years ago researching. the bible says clearly nations will give servitude to babylon for 70 years. simple. that started in 609 when the babylons beat the asseryians. simple again. this was with nab's father . nab became king about 605 add 18 years to that you get 587 . just like the bible says. the wt takes something as simple as tying your shoe and tries to turn it into a 10 year course in the fine art of boondoggle. tying the average jw's head into more knots than found on a clipper ship. jcanon have you gone to the court house yet and changed your name to fred franz yet. i here it's still open. better hurry there are some other wacko out there that might beat you to it john

  she was a sister that we used to pal around with, we had several dinners together and she and her husband and my husband played cards together.

  it seemed like from what i remember the jw's were always looking into so many alternative medicines and fad diets.

  and those easy money schemes, does anyone remember these?

  instead of just getting a college education they spent so much time looking into job alternatives.

  cyber-sister a lot of what your talking about comes from early wt teaching on quack medicine. like miracle oil , radio desease killer, grape cure for cancer etc, the list is to long to remember. my dad went for some of this quack cures when he had colon cancer after 3 years of this , he finally went to a real doctor and now has to wear the crap bag. waited to long. guess the creators promise about the generation of 1914 didn't come to pass. i can't seem to copy and paste anymore but check JW RESEARCH SITE. OFF the freeminds link page. you will be knocked off your seat on wt quack medicine. it's a great read.... all x and active jw's should read that site. really give you an idea what the wt was teaching 80 years ago. sad very sad. john

  a leading human rights organization has appealed to president vladimir putin over a court's decision to ban the activities of jehovah's witnesses in moscow, calling it a serious failure of the judicial system that could increase harassment of believers, mosnews.com reported.. the international helsinki federation for human rights urged putin in an open letter to meet his "international obligations" and set the record straight by addressing the issue publicly.. the ban came into force on june 16, when the moscow city court upheld a district court decision prohibiting jehovah's witnesses from engaging in religious activity under a provision that allows courts to ban religious groups that are considered to incite hatred or intolerant behavior.

  jehovah's witnesses spokesman christian presber said at the time that the ruling would prevent the group from renting premises for worship, holding bank accounts, or otherwise supporting their religious activities.. there are about 10,000 jehovah's witnesses in moscow and 133,000 nationwide, according to the group.

  the wt should put the face of lenin on one of their new brochures. and write a nice article about him, as a leader in freedom of the russian ppl. or plan b. all the russian jw's should go to were the need is greatest, a pilgrimage to iraq. i don't think they are banned there yet. i think all jw's should have to go to the islamic world for a one year .and preach the good news in 10 years you would not have no more jw's. problem solved. john
